Our Story

Made for Every Ride

VELO was founded in 1979 by Stella Yu with a clear purpose: to meet the individual needs of every cyclist through thoughtful bicycle saddle design.

What began with a dedication to building better bike saddles has grown into more than four decades of experience in ergonomics, materials, engineering and manufacturing.

Today, that same rider-focused approach guides every product VELO creates—from comfortable city bike saddles to performance-focused racing saddles. VELO studies how people ride, refines every detail and works to make every journey feel better.

Our Approach

No two riders are exactly alike.

Riding position, bicycle type, distance and terrain all shape what a rider needs from a saddle. That is why VELO develops different shapes, support levels and technologies for different kinds of rides.
